Immigration
Europe | UK and EU launch new travel authorisation systems for non-visa travellers (ETA / ETIAS)

The United Kingdom has introduced the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) which requires all non-visa travellers to obtain ‘permission to travel’ prior to travelling to the UK. The scheme is now live for all non-visa global travellers. The EU’s equivalent, the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS), is expected to go live in the last quarter of 2026– exact date to be confirmed.

This is a major change and transformation to travelling to the UK and across the EU, and the myriad of information and technical immigration rules employers and individuals need to understand, Vialto Partners has produced helpful FAQ guides to get you and your employees ready for the go live date.
