The Superintendence of Pensions has published the new income caps for calculating Social Security contributions for the calendar year 2025.
On January 10th, 2025, the Superintendence of Pensions informed that, starting January 1, 2025, the new monthly income cap for calculating mandatory contributions to pensions, health insurance, work accident insurance, and survival and disability insurance will increase from 84.3 UF* to 87.8 UF (approximately CLP 3,373,635).
Likewise, the new monthly income cap for calculating unemployment insurance contributions will increase from 126.6 UF to 131.8 UF (approximately 5,064,295).
These new caps will apply to contributions for salaries paid from January 2025 onwards and will remain valid throughout the entire year of 2025.
(*) The UF is a unit of account used in Chile that is calculated and published by the Chilean Central Bank considering the variation of the inflation on a daily basis.
