Even with a valid B-1 (business visitor) / B-2 (visitor for pleasure) visa or ESTA visa-waiver authorization allowing WB (waiver business) or WT (waiver tourist) admission1, each entry is assessed individually, and a traveler’s failure to adhere to permitted activities and legal constraints could result in delays, additional questioning, or even denial of entry and a future bar to reentry.

Business travelers are NOT permitted to:
With heightened enforcement under the current administration, business travelers should take extra precautions to ensure compliance with US immigration laws and avoid unwelcome complications at the border. Planning ahead and understanding the rules may help facilitate a smooth entry into the US for your business visits.
The Vialto Partners Business Travel team is poised to help clients review travel plans and purposes, and guide noncitizen travelers by preparing for lawful business visitor entries into the United States.
We can also help by composing suggested invitation letters for client editing and approval, advising on permissible activities in the US in order to align with the requirements and limits of the business traveler category, providing support through our myTrips and myAtlas technology solutions, and advising on the oft-changing immigration landscape landscape.
Our advisory services, policy reviews, and strategic planning can help clients navigate the complexities of business travel to the US and other destinations. We thus assist with facilitating law compliance, refining policies, building flexible yet compliant travel-governance frameworks, and supporting Remote Work options outside the United States.
The journey may at times be fraught with uncertainty, but be assured you are not alone.
