US Consulates have begun rescheduling some H-1B and H-4 visa stamping appointments scheduled for December 15, 2025 and thereafter in light of the revised social media vetting policy.
Building on the previous Alert regarding the expanded social media vetting for H-1B and H-4 visas, we are now seeing US Consulates cancel visa stamping appointments and resetting them until March 2026 or later.
If you have a visa appointment scheduled for after December 15, 2025, closely monitor your email for any communications from the US Consulate that confirm the cancellation/rescheduling of your appointment. If you have an appointment scheduled for December 15, 2025 or after, and have not yet departed the US, you may wish to re-confirm your appointment with the US Consulate directly before departing the US to avoid undue delays in your return to the US if you do not have an underlying, valid H-1B visa stamp.
