Further to our latest alert on the e-Work permit system (extended until 28 April 2026), the Thai authorities have isued a further processing update to extend arrangements until 28 July 2026.
The Department of Employment (DOE) has internally announced, effective from 24 April 2026 and until further notice, an extension of the temporary facilitation measures supporting the use of the e‑Work permit system for foreign skilled workers and employers until 28 July 2026.
The measure allows employers to continue submitting work permit applications, notifications, and renewals under Sections 59–62 and 67 via the electronic system. However, where technical issues prevent system access, authorities may still accept manual submissions, provided that appropriate evidence of system failure (such as screenshots) is retained for record keeping purposes.
