Following our latest alert on the e-Work Permit system, which confirmed an extension to 28 July 2026, the Thai authorities have announced a further extension of the facilitation measures supporting use of the system until 28 October 2026.
The Department of Employment (DOE) has extended the facilitation measures for employers and foreign skilled workers using the e-Work Permit system until 28 October 2026.
This measure allows employers to continue using the e-Work Permit system to submit work permit applications, employment notifications and renewals under Sections 59, 60 paragraph two, 61, 62 and 67. If technical issues prevent electronic submission, authorities may continue to accept manual submissions, provided evidence of the system failure, such as screenshots, is retained for record-keeping.
