Thailand | Board of Investment (BOI) announces mandatory re-registration to its new single window system—starting from 1 August 2025

With effect from 1 August 2025, the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) will launch an enhanced Single Window System, requiring all BOI-promoted companies to re-register. Identity verification must be completed before the deadline to avoid disruptions in visa and work permit processing.

When is the new law in effect?

The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has officially announced the launch of its enhanced Single Window System, which will take effect on 1 August 2025. This update results in a mandatory registration process for all BOI-promoted companies who currently uses the existing Single Window System to manage its expatriate visa and work permit applications.

Regardless of any existing registrations or current access to the platform, all BOI companies must ensure that the identity verification process is completed before 1 August 2025 to prevent any disruption in registering and accessing to the BOI’s new Single Window System.

To complete the re-registration, if the authorized person of the company is:

• A Thai representative: They must verify their identity through the ThaID application.
• A Foreign national:  They must verify their identity via email authentication.

Next Steps for Companies:

1. Actions to be completed before 1 August 2025:

• Identify the authorized representative who will handle the re-registration
• Ensure the representative completes identity verification using the ThaID App or email authentication as outlined above.

2. Re-Register a new company account on the new Single Window System, starting from 1 August 2025 onwards.
