Philippines | Visa-free entry for Indian nationals travelling to the Philippines

Summary

Effective 8 June 2025, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has implemented revised visa policies granting visa-free entry to Indian nationals for tourism purposes. This initiative is part of the Philippine government’s broader efforts to enhance inbound tourism from India.

The detail

14-Day Visa-Free Entry

Indian nationals may enter the Philippines visa-free for a non-extendible and non-convertible period of 14 days, provided they carry the following during their trip:

1. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond intended stay
2. Confirmed hotel accommodation or booking
3. Proof of financial capability
4. Valid return or onward ticket

30-Day Visa-Free Entry with Recognized Third-Country Visas/Permits

Indian nationals holding valid and current visas or residence permits from the United States of America, Japan, Australia, Canada, Schengen Area, Singapore, or the United Kingdom (AJACSSUK) are eligible for visa-free entry of up to 30 days, provided they meet the standard entry documentation requirements.

Additional Considerations

• Visa-free privileges apply exclusively to tourism-related travel and are non-convertible to other visa types or immigration statuses.
• Entry is contingent on the absence of derogatory records with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration.
• Indian nationals traveling for purposes other than tourism or with intention to apply for long-term stays must apply for an appropriate entry visa from a Philippine Embassy or Consulate.

Eligible travelers may also apply for a Philippine e-Visa via evisa.gov.ph; however, e-Visas are also non-extendible and non-convertible to a long-term visa.
