Philippines | Visa-free entry for Chinese nationals travelling to the Philippines

Summary

From 16 January 2026, Chinese nationals may enter the Philippines without a visa for short stays for tourism or business purposes. This new visa-free arrangement is aimed at boosting tourism, trade, and business travel, and strengthening ties between the Philippines and China.

The detail

14-Day Visa-Free Entry from 16 January 2026

  • Chinese nationals may enter the Philippines visa-free for up to 14 days.
  • The visa-free stay is strictly for tourism or business purposes.
  • The 14-day stay is non-extendable and cannot be converted to another visa category.
  • Entry is allowed only through international terminals of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Cebu.

Requirements

Travelers must carry and present the following upon arrival:

  • Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended stay
  • Confirmed hotel accommodation or booking
  • Valid return or onward ticket

Additional Considerations

  • Entry is subject to standard security and derogatory record checks.
  • The visa-free arrangement will be valid for one year and subject to review before expiration.
