The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has issued interim guidelines for the transition to centralised processing of Alien Employment Permits (AEPs) under Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Advisory No. 199 and Department Order No. 248-B.
In coordination with DOLE, PEZA will temporarily process PEZA Visa (PV) applications while the related AEP applications remain pending.
During the transition, PEZA will accept and process new and renewal PEZA Visa applications before the AEP card is issued, provided applicants submit proof of AEP filing or payment.
The following documents may be submitted in place of the AEP card:
A pending AEP will not delay a PEZA Visa application. PEZA may process and approve the application before the AEP card is issued. However, the original AEP card remains mandatory for PEZA Visa implementation.
Employers should retain proof of AEP filing or payment and provide the original AEP card once it is issued.
