The National Institute of Immigration (INM) in Mexico is expected to experience certain delays in processing times in coming weeks.
In light of several recent events and in anticipation of the government’s preparation efforts for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, potential delays, particularly in the issuance of job offer authorizations, are expected. As a result, resolutions might be issued within the 20 business days required by law, rather than the 3 business days that were typically observed.
As part of the above efforts, the immigration authority may be rationing the expedited processing of work visas, aiming to reduce the administrative burden on consular offices abroad, which are expected to operate at maximum capacity.
As a result, some of immigration services, especially those related to job offer applications, may be impacted by longer processing times than usual.
Vialto will continue to closely monitor the situation and will assist clients in planning ahead accordingly to mitigate potential disruptions and minimize the overall impact on immigration services.
We will continue keeping you informed of any relevant developments. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
