Chile has introduced a prior authorization (visa) requirement for Indian Nationals traveling for business purposes, as confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This new measure allows eligible applicants to obtain a multiple-entry visa, valid for up to 720 days, with stays of up to 90 days per visit.
According to the Consular Policy Division of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and pursuant to Article 27 of Law No. 21,325 and its implementing regulations (Supreme Decree No. 296/2022), Chile has established a prior authorization requirement in the form of a multiple-entry visa for Indian nationals.
This visa is intended for business travelers, including professionals, technicians, and employees of Indian nationality, who seek to carry out commercial, professional, technical, or other business-related activities in Chile.
Applications must be submitted through the Chilean consular platform under the category “Multiple entry permit for business persons” (Permiso de múltiples entradas para personas de negocios).

In accordance with Article 85 of Supreme Decree No. 296/2022, applications must be submitted to the Chilean Consulate with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of residence, which is also responsible for adjudicating the application.
