Who it is for?

You would qualify if you:

• Are a non-EU (third country) national
• Work remotely using digital technologies
• Are employed by or own a company outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland
• Are self-employed with at least 1 year of remote work experience
• Do not work for Bulgarian clients or enter the local labor market

What Does Bulgaria Offer?

• A 12-month residence permit for digital nomads
• One-time extension for another 12 months
• A clear, legal path to live in Bulgaria while working remotely
• Possibility to bring in family members

Key Requirements

• Annual income of at least 50 Bulgarian minimum wages (currently above -EUR 31,000 per year)
• Secured accommodation
• Health insurance
• Sufficient living funds
