Vialto Global Work Digest

Global Work Digest is a publication featuring the latest global work news and perspectives from Vialto, along with key alerts and upcoming webinars.

Welcome to this edition of Global Work Digest.

From evolving immigration policies to new employment tax requirements, organizations are navigating changes that affect how they move, manage, and support people across borders. This month, we’re highlighting developments and perspectives to help you respond to immediate challenges while preparing for what comes next.

In this issue, we explore extended H-1B entry restrictions in the United States; a new social security contribution exemption for equity compensation in Argentina; and immigration updates across the Philippines, Australia, and Ireland. We also cover Qatar’s new wage payment deadlines and what they mean for employers.

Beyond the latest alerts, we examine why global work infrastructure belongs in the boardroom and how it can support business growth, capability building, and resilience. Plus, Vialto’s Martin Muhleder shares his perspective in Bloomberg Law on the changing UK tax landscape and its implications for internationally mobile talent.

There’s more to explore at our upcoming events. Join our APAC Global Work Week, October 26–29, 2026, for discussions on talent strategy, AI, immigration, and mobility across the region.

The underfunded growth multiplier: Why global work infrastructure belongs in the boardroom

For multinational organizations, that increasingly means treating global work infrastructure as a strategic capability—not simply an operational or compliance function.

Our latest article explores why global work infrastructure deserves a meaningful role in the decisions that shape organizational growth, capability building, and resilience. Read more

Vialto expert article published in Bloomberg Law

The latest UK data on nondomiciled taxpayers tells a more nuanced story than expected. While departures have been modest so far, rising average tax bills and new compliance requirements are creating greater complexity for employers managing internationally mobile talent.

Employers need to know what increasing tax and compliance requirements mean for internationally mobile talent—and the steps businesses need to take to stay ahead.

In a recent Bloomberg Law article, Vialto partner Martin Muhleder explores the changing UK tax landscape and what employers should be considering as mobility, tax, immigration, and compliance become increasingly interconnected. Learn more
